SCHOOL BASED THERAPY

What we are trying to accomplish:
Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a type of therapy that helps people overcome trauma and other mental health issues. What makes ART different is that it helps people replace the negative, distressing images in their mind with positive ones, often in just one session. By doing this, it eliminates the triggers that cause symptoms like nightmares, intrusive thoughts, or anxiety.
ART works by using eye movements to help the brain make changes, in combination with other established therapeutic techniques, such as Gestalt Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Guided Imagery. The eye movements are shown to be effective because they stimulate brain waves (called theta waves) that are linked to creativity and relaxation, similar to what you might experience in deep meditation. This makes the therapy faster and more powerful.
One of the key features of ART is that clients don't have to go into detail about their trauma. Instead, they focus on changing the way their mind processes it, with the guidance of the ART therapist. This makes it easier and less emotionally painful for the client. In fact, many clients find ART to be calming and even joyful, especially once they've made progress.
ART can help with a range of mental health issues beyond trauma, including anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, and even issues related to reading difficulties like those seen in dyslexia. ART offers a fast and effective way to resolve emotional and mental health struggles, using a combination of eye movements and powerful therapeutic techniques, with clients in control of the process.
